John was my best friend at the Museum School in the years I knew him he uttered perhaps 100 words. We spe3nt an awful lot of time in his 1965 Mustang, just riding around drinking cans of cheap local beer by the dozens and throwing the empties over our shoulders. The whole back seat and footwell was filled to shoulder height with them. He hailed from Marlborough, home of the famous Motif Number One.
